Why do I get so much adware?

I dont go to any suspicious sites yet lately I'm getting over 2 dozen adware infections every day. I'm using Ad-Aware to scan and get rid of them (I also use Spy-Bot and anti-virus) but is it normal that I'm getting so many? Is there a hdden infection somewhere?
