Mcafee expiration?

ok i got a new laptop for christmas and it comes with mcafee security center. I have Mcafee virus scan, mcafee firewall, and mcafee anti-spam. I got an email saying my updates for definition files and sofware updates will expire in a week. I will tell you now im not paying 85.00 bucks a year for it so do you think i would be alright with the old definitions files or should i got back to AVG 7.5

Best to uninstall the trial version of McAfee completely and reinstall AVG along with some antispyware products. Reason being is that the definitions for McAfee will never update in the future thus making you more and more vulnerable as time goes by (in addition to getting constant reminders from McAfee).
