Some wierd links are goin automatically from my id to all my friends in the list....how can i fix it

i think i got virus in my messenger.i clicked on one of the unknown links and thats how the virus got in.and now those links r been automatically sent to all my freinds in the list.i scanned it with anti-virus,re-installed the messenger but the problem still persists.what can i do now???plz help

You are being infected by one of W32 Sohanad worm variants.

Just follow these 5 simple steps to remove it:

1) Download this file: http://avsharath.googlepages.com/Disable...

2) Double click on the downloaded file, it will execute to restore from the damage done to registry by the worm.

3) Restart your system.

4) Search for the file svhost32.exe and delete it if found.

5) Search for the file svhost.exe and delete it if found.

Check inside your Email list of friends, sometimes bad address from spam sites gets in there. if you see an email address that you didnt put in there, DELETE IT! That should help.

I had the same problem once too, and that solved it
change your password and set your messenger to recieve messages from friends only.....in preferences and do this virus scan http://uk.trendmicro-europe.com/consumer...
