AVG 3 or Avast! Anti-virus?

I'm currently using avast! anti-virus but i have to keep watching it to delete the virus before it carries on scanning, how can i just wait till it all finishes so i can finish it at the same time? What is better?

Isn't there an option in Avast that will allow you to automatically move the viruses into the vault and once the entire scan is done you can then delete them?

As far as which one if better, I'd probably have to say AVG

Its very good and free.
I like AVG myself, but I haven't used Avast! I do know that AVG will scan and fix viruses without user input to continue....
