Why are my programs not closing down properly?

when i have finished with some of my programs, they are not closing properly and i have to goto task manager and end them myself in processes and sometimes applications. i have recently reset my pc to factory and have no viruses and i scanned my pc with kaspersky and avg anti spy. there is nothing on my pc. even though i have closed the programs properly, why are they not closing in the task manager and i have to end the process myself?

Mine does this alot too,

some of my programs just freeze up and i have to press Control Alt and delete at the same time to close the program!...

You may have to defrag your computer, or shut it down, and reboot it.. that usually works for me and my computer problems!

Take care!
You had installed a two antivirus program get rid of the other one, based from my experienced this will hang up your unit and you could not do any application programs to work Unit is acting abnormal and not responding consistently.

Select the best.
task manager is not unmerciful tool to end processes , some times when your process or application tree is large and many child processes are invoked it is difficult to task manager to end the application

you can use taskkill /F ?PID in cmd for unmerciful terminating .....but not recommended
