If the pop up appeared while you were on the internet, check that your browser has disabled pop ups. Go to Tools - internet options (if you're using Internet Explorer 7).

If the pop up appeared while you were disconnected from the internet then you have spyware on your pc. Just install and run at least one anti spyware. An anti virus won't detect or remove it. Viruses and spyware are different programs.

Theres a list on my blog that you can download free from the net.

The pop up is designed to scare you! Just ignore it.

Never click on one as they install spyware on your pc.

And never click on a link in a pop up either.

You need to install one firewall.

The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out.

You need all three anti spyware programs;
