ok, about a week ago, my computer starting acting really weird. it is alot slower, and a lot of popups with dangerous dowload warning on them. and sometimes when i close out it says something like "this program could not be read click ok to terminate. which has never happened before. problems also with typing at this very moment, it sometimes freezes the keyboard so the letters appear earlier or not at all.
and the start bar keeps dissapearing BUT when i try to restore, it takes me back to my un-updated anti virus software, and is really bad.
when i scan, i always get over 10 programs removed each time. they are all cookies. i tried to delete stuff i didnt use, to free up space, but it didnt work.
so whats the deal? please only serious answers.
(i have recently cleaned up some disk space with a tool in control pannel. just in case u want to know)

Cookies aren't anything to worry about.
The pops up are Microsoft Windows Adware programs. McAfee should be able to fix these. If not, try SuperAntiSpyware - the home edition is free.
As for the slowness, a re-install of Windows will fix it 100% and takes about an hour. A re-install will also remove all adware. You'll probably spend way longer than that trying to fix all the broken pieces, and have a really hard time doing it - you'll need to do things like repair the registry, defrag etc.
