In addition to Windows ' own security measures, I have two other anti-virus softwares installed. Every time I have scanned my computer, I am always told that my computer is not infected; but yet it is running very sluggishly. Why?
I am considering of deleting Windows and re-installing it hoping that it will cure the problem. What happens after I have clicked to remove this program at the Control Panel? I will have no mouse to tell the computer to switch off, won't I?
Finally, just a passing comment, why don't these "geniuses" do something constructive instead of being destructive by spreading viruses? Surly if they are that good, Bill Gate will have a place for them in his organisation!!!!
Re-installing Windows?internet security software
Hi, first thing is never run two antivirus programs as they will conflict with each other and take a lot of system resources. I suggest u take these steps before considering reinstalling.
1.remove all security software.
2.disable system restore
3.restart in safe mode.
4.visit http://onecare.live.com and run microsoft's free safety scanner to remove all viruses, trojans spyware and malware, and registry errors.
5.restart ur computer and download these tools:
AVG Antivirus: http://free.grisoft.com
Spybot: http://www.download.com
