Sometimes my mouse is moving by itself, right to left in a straight line.?

an information on trojans said i could be infected but i have a very updated anti-virus software. as a matter of fact, i installed my pc with a security suite from a very popular company. i always scan my pc and update my signatures everyday. my pc is clean. what could have possibly caused my mouse moving like that by itself?

is an updated AV software is enough or do I need a separate "anti-trojan" software if there is any? if there is, what is the specific name of the program? thanks a lot....

Sometimes my mouse is moving by itself, right to left in a straight line.?norton antivirus

If your computer is clean of viruses, then i'm assuming that it really is your mouse (if you have a ball mouse as opposed to a optical mouse) in which case you have to take out the ball and clean the inside, or your optical mouse could be blocked with a crumb or something...

if indeed it is a trojan, then your AV should locate it...i can't help you too much on that

i dont have an answer but i am interested to knwo the details. I too have seen this happening to me ...
That happens to me from time to time. Looks creepy, but I think it's just a glitch with my optical mouse.

I run Norton Antivirus, Ad-Aware SE and Spybot S%26D religiously (two of them as scheduled tasks), so I'm not worried about anything inhabiting my machine.
